Maddy grew up in the sunny hills of California, where she cultivated a love for photography, music, community, and God’s presence. In 2018, Maddy “accidentally” moved to Wisconsin when a summer visit with relatives planting a new Anglican community became a permanent move. Maddy transferred to UW-Madison and graduated in 2021 with a major in legal studies. She worked as a communications director for three years in the Wisconsin Legislature before joining the Stephen and Laurel Brown Foundation team. Maddy is most inspired when she can have a part in creating community spaces that nurture belonging, fun, beauty, and excellence.

In her spare time, you can catch Maddy delighting in her nephews, photographing weddings, facilitating cross-church community in Madison, and buying snacks at Trader Joe’s.
