Rebecca Cooks

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF STUDENT & EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

Now a veteran of the Stephen & Laurel Brown Foundation, Rebecca holds a multi-faceted role: directing the Student Internship Program, instructing in the Upper House Fellows Program, and helping build a thriving staff team. Rebecca loves the incremental learning process of coaching individuals and teams in their professional and personal development. On any given day, you might find her mentoring college students, emceeing a conference or podcast, or training new staff by way of a scavenger hunt.

As a Chancellor’s Scholar, Rebecca earned her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has worked with multiple ministries in event coordination and teaching, and Madison365 has recognized her as one of Wisconsin’s Most Influential Black Leaders. As a proud UW alumna, Rebecca is happy to be back working on campus and is excited to champion the impressive team of people at SLBF.

Rebecca delights in living in Madison, and she spends her time loving her friends as family, pushing through a run, hunting for the best chai latté, and singing whatever Broadway tunes come to her mind.
